Volvo Cars CEO Jim Rowan remains optimistic regarding his company’s electric vehicle (EV) future. Rowan was bullish about the long-term potential of electric motors. The CEO, however, appeared more cautious on solid-state battery technology. Solid-state batteries have been promoted as having a potentially transformative effect on electric vehicles.
The U.S. Department of Energy believes solid-state lithium batteries are a safer alternative to lithium-ion batteries.
