The Mexican environment ministry rejected a crucial environmental permit for a solar power plant owned by the German automaker Audi because it called for a regional review in light of the necessary additional electrical infrastructure. The ministry will review any updated environmental impact statement that Audi submits for the solar facility.
As per the ministry, these types of projects call for:
- A power station
- An electric substation
- Internal transmission lines
