The largest UK solar project to date by a renewable energy developer is set to start generating power later next year.
Lightsource BP will begin work on a 61MW solar farm in Nottinghamshire next month, marking the renewable energy developer’s largest solar project in the UK.
The project, which will also include a battery storage facility, is expected to take around 11 months to complete, creating 120 construction jobs during that time, according to Lightsource BP.
The project also aims at:
- Generating renewable energy
- Enabling agricultural activity on the same sit
- Implementing a biodiversity plan
