The EU instrument for funding climate action—LIFE—has already financed over 5000 projects since its inception in 1992. And, on February 17 this year, it was announced that the EU Commission had increased its funding by 60% for the period between 2021 and 2027. The additional investment of Euro110 million will pass through to projects covering:
- Nature and biodiversity
- Circular economy and quality of life
- Climate change mitigation and adaptation
- Clean energy transition
