On January 20, Australia announced that the Emissions Reduction Fund (ERF) will credit eligible biomethane projects, incentivizing emission reduction, under 3 existing waste management projects. Biomethane represents one of the top 5 ERF priorities. The following activities are covered by the package:
- Animal effluent management
- Landfill gas (generation)
- Domestic, commercial, and industrial wastewater
