Companies in the Asia-Pacific region need to increase their decarbonisation efforts. According to sustainability data and rating provider Morningstar Sustainalytics, the current trajectory of these companies would cause the world to warm by close to 3 degrees Celsius. The climate transition rating is based on some 85 metrics assessing companies’ impact on climate.
The ratings take into account metrics such as:
- A company’s existing full supply chain emissions
- Its decarbonisation targets
- Its climate mitigation strategies
