Japanese automaker Nissan is planning to catch up in the electric vehicles (EV) market by boosting its electrified car sales goals and increasing power train production in the U.S.
Nissan has been a pioneer in the EV industry but has struggled lately in the face of increasing competition from several new entrants.
Nissan’s plans for the EV segment include the following:
- To have electrified vehicles make up over 55% of its global sales by the year 2030
- To produce 27 new EV in the next few years with 19 of them being all-battery variants.
