In reaction to a mounting backbench uprising against the de facto moratorium on new projects, the British administration appears prepared to loosen planning limits on new onshore wind farms. Business Secretary Grant Shapps insisted that the government’s position had always been that there would be more onshore wind farms in the future “where communities are in favour of it” during an interview with Sky News.
