Climate research scientists at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) have found evidence for increased precipitation amounts and their severity due to climate change. Pointing also to the problems it can inflict and tools to investigate the effects.
- Up to a 30 percent increase in the maximum daily precipitation per year in Southeastern US by 2100
- National Stormwater Calculator is an EPA created tool to estimate the amount of rainfall and runoff for a period of more than a year
- Climate Resilience Evaluation and Awareness Toll (CREAT) is another EPA created tool to assess risk for utilities by creating inferences and predictions of weather conditions
- Time Series Viewer and Change Analysis Tool is a third EPA created tool to investigate previous and predicted environmental variables over periods of time
